Trust me, when I am saying this, when we let go of constant screen time distractions during our travels, we open up space for true connection – connection with nature, with local cultures, and most importantly, with ourselves.
Instead of rushing through landmarks just to snap photos for social media validation or frantically scrolling through news feeds during dinner, be present where you have come. Eventually, you will go back to the mundane routine, so why not to embrace the moment and the place where you have come.
Slowing down is essential for a mindful journey. In a world that seems to be spinning faster each day, it’s essential to find moments of stillness and embrace the beauty of slowing down. When we slow down, we allow ourselves the opportunity to truly absorb our surroundings. We observe more and we embrace more.

Obviously, planning is always an essential part of travel, but refrain from doing excessive planning. When you practice mindful travel, there shouldn’t be any itinerary for where to go on which day and which all places to cover. Of course, when you have come to a place for a trip, you would be to some wonderful worth visiting places, but be present there.
Give your heart and soul to that place, take the time to see around you and without constantly worrying about sticking strictly to a pre-determined schedule. Over planning eliminates the element of surprise that makes travel so exhilarating.
